When you're out of alignment, the very range that makes you valuable starts working against you. Moving across mediums without real depth in any of them turns into dabbling mistaken for mastery, and people can feel the difference even when they can't name it. You start absorbing what you're meant to be transmuting, other people's stuck stories, their nervous systems, their unresolved grief, without ever clearing it from your own system afterward, until you're carrying weight that was never yours to hold.
Sometimes you over-identify with a single medium as the only valid site of truth, forgetting that the medium was always meant to serve the function, not become the whole identity. Naming and pricing your own work gets harder the wider your range gets, because you resist a single job title and the market keeps asking for one anyway. And the fluid movement between visibility and withdrawal, which should be a discerning choice, becomes unpredictable instead, disappearing when you should show up, or forcing yourself forward when what you actually need is to recede and recover.
